Making A Faith Commitment

In the lesson we learned about making a personal commitment. We are making a personal commitment into Confirmation and learning many different things as we take that journey.
This week we read about geese and how we can relate geese with our Catholic faith community family. The story tells how geese encourage each other, fall back if one is hurt, comfort them, or if the leader gets tired another one steps in to take its position. We can relate this into our Catholic community, as priests and parishioners.

As parishioners we encourage one another to become more involved in our faith. We teach other and help each other find a common direction and a sense of community so we can get things done quicker and travel on the thrust of others. When someone is headed the same way we are, we join formation and head with those to help each other. We as parishioners support our faith community family as one by helping them when they are in need.

I think everyone’s role in the parish is to help others become one with God and making that personal relationship so that they always have someone to count on and they don’t feel alone. Just like the geese family we have different roles we play in our faith community, some leaders and some followers; whatever your role is it is an important part of our faith community.

That’s why making a personal relationship with God is so important because God will lead you where you want to go but you just need to become one with Him and accept Him into your life like a friend and family but at a much more higher type of relationship to explore different aspects of your relationship with God to make it more pure.

As we continue our journey to Confirmation we are learning and understanding more about our faith each week.
